Below, Anu shares the must have accessories and style advice from her favourite local stores. So whether you’re styling a new home, updating your existing space or just want some inspiration to refresh your rental, here, we share decorating pointers and useful tips for adding an elegant touch from Anu.

Intensely fresh and stylish, this living space celebrates the joy of energy and love. With rich accents of violet blended in a subtle neutral theme, this living room style is dramatic in its own sophisticated way. A melody of florals and botanicals bring a little bit of the outdoors into this space while the show stopping accessories add a beautiful element to the surrounding.

The purple accent chair with a tufted body and a luxurious velvet texture has champagne gold delicately curved legs to add softness to this room. This chair is a statement piece that pulls in all the colors together. Lanterns make great accessories especially because they are often a portable source of lighting. These hand-crafted lanterns in brushed gold are not just decorative but they are excellent for creating mood lighting during any get together.

These blue lanterns from Cozy Home reflect a different version of a lantern. Its smooth ceramic texture and cutout pattern make them unique pieces for holding candles. I have used the larger lantern as a vase here with hydrangeas in lavender, keeping the balance of the accent color throughout the room.

A succulent or any small plant here adds a natural balance to this vignette.

Cushions are one of my most favorite accessories. They add color, patterns, textures and so much more. They make the room cozy and add softness. These gorgeous cushions from Knothome are as luxuriousas a cushion can get with down fillings and silky chinoiserie style covers.

Art is an important element for dressing up walls and it can be anything from abstract to botanical. I have kept to the same color undertones to keep it neutral. The black frames add definition to each piece making them a prominent feature on the wall.

Coffee table accessories are an essential part of decorating a room. From candles and trays tocoasters and flowers, they bring a sense of joy and comfort to the table while entertaining. I have used this stunning and spacious long tray in a marble and gold finish from Casa Lusso to hold a room fragrance, glass boxes in blue to hold some toffees or mints and a small kanooz mubkhar with a delicate crescent moon to compliment any décor style.

A cake stand is another accessory I love because it the perfect way to display sweet delicacies which are the essence of this festival.

As I mentioned earlier, a little bit of nature can bring so much beauty and energy into aroom. A potted plant can fill any corner or sit on a table adding a luscious green vibe to the space. Flowers are probably the most versatile accessory you can use. They can be colorful or completely white, they look gorgeous when set right. This round vase adds softness to the edgy table and reflects a brilliant light along with the glass topped table. This majestictable lamp with a textured ceramic base and neutral shade stands tall to complete the décor.
