Celebrity cake artist Debbie Wingham unveiled a life-size, 120-kg cake, at the BRIDE show in Dubai. Modelled on a traditional Arabic bride, the cake is dotted with five white diamonds, each worth $200,000, making it - quite literally - 'The Million Dollar Bride'.
THE MILLION DOLLAR BRIDE
The cake commissioned for the largest Bridal show I’m Dubai is of course inspired by Middle Eastern influence, buts also carries Debbie’s western flair. Its 6ft in height, it took 5 burly security guards to move it, and took above 10 days to create. Entirely edible and carved out of cake and crispy treats it is covered with 50 kg of lace textured fondant and embellished with 5000 hand cut flowers with an edible pearl inserts.
In the actual cake itself 1000 eggs and A staggering 20 kg of chocolate was used to create this edible sensation and it weights over 100 kilos! The bridal gown cake is so elegant, the material looks so realistic its hard to believe its meant to be eaten!!
Debbie’s name is synomonous with diamonds and this cake is no exception it is lavished with a million dollars of bling!!!
